Radio Silence

Bradley Danger Hill is here!

Born at 1:47pm on Wednesday, August 15th. Bradley weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19.75 inches long.

I'll update with stories and photos when I can... but for now I'm enjoying my new family of three.

Yukon Do It!

With the countdown (and my patience) nearing zero, I'm doing everything I can to take my mind off of the fact that I'm waiting, waiting, waiting to meet Baby Hill!

Since my mom is also on "Baby Watch 2012", we decided to get our nails done.

Let's not focus on the fact that
a) I clearly have boycotted make-up in my last month of pregnancy or
b) my feet have grown to the size of an elephant's

Instead, we'll focus on the small red bottle in the middle bottom of the photo.

My OPI nail polish choice for my pre-labor pedi?

"Don't Wine, Yukon Do It!"

In addition to it being a nice color, I thought it was the perfect title for the days to come!

Work Weekend Part Two

On Monday I chronicled a "work weekend" where Justin, Laura and Lucy traveled to see us and help get things in order for Baby Hill. Just a few weekends later, Johanna, Jeremy and Maria came in town to help finish things up! I feel like a broken record, but we are thankful for our wonderful family!!

Unfortunately, I took very few photos of all the hard-work. But here are the shots I do have.

Chris, staining our dresser/changing table:
(Not pictured, Jeremy sanding it down-- a huge task!)

The Couvillion family (and Gordon) taking a break after a long day of work:
(Not pictured, all of the hard-work! Like Jojo helping me on a marathon Target trip and sewing pillows with me. Or Jeremy building a side-table for the nursery.)

Jeremy helped to stock our freezer with three delicious Louisiana dishes:
We love spending time with these three and were so thankful for their help to put all the finishing touches on our Baby Hill preparations.

All that's left? Baby Hill! Any day now...

Work Weekend Part One

A few weekends ago Justin, Laura and Lucy came to Houston to help Chris and I get our house in order for Baby Hill. We always love when family comes to town and we were SO grateful for their help!

We had a long "to do" list and tackled most of it!

Here's Lucy helping me assemble a swing for Baby Hill:

Gordon helped too:
The boys assembled furniture (among many other things):
(Not pictured: Laura in action helping with shopping, painting, washing, hanging, etc!)

We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends as family!

(Coming soon: Work Weekend Part Two... featuring Jeremy, Johanna and Maria!)

Stars and Stripes and Plaids and Solids

My mom seems to love taking embarrassing photos of me. And for some reason, I love to put those embarrassing photos on the interwebs for all to see.

Here I am in a delightful sleeping ensemble that makes use of three different patterns. And a face that says, "I'm nine months pregnant... deal with it."
And let's note that Chris is doing dishes. He's a good man.

WBW: Opening Ceremonies

For the 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, my parents invited my brother's family (who were living in Houston at the time), Chris and me (who were dating at the time) to watch.

Little did I know, I'd be getting engaged the very next day!
Four years later, my mom invited some of her Camping Pals over to watch the Opening Ceremonies and Chris and I made an appearance... it was a little different than the last time!
Here's a better view of the bump:
Next Summer Opening Games we'll have a four year old boy. That's a scary thought!

Want to share some Way Back When-sday photos from your past? (Bonus if they are Olympics related!)
