Day Two; Part Two

When we left off, we were on our way to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I love this park! It has a rather odd theme park layout, however. Add that to the fact that there are only a handful of rides for the entire family to ride together... and the fact that one of the "family friendly rides" is AWESOME and you can get a bit of a bottle-neck (and long wait times)(like 90 minute wait times) if you don't play your cards right.

Being a bit of a Disney nerd, I know this. And I know how to play my cards right. As we walked to turnstile (30 minutes before the park opens... you have to be an early bird for this to work) I briefed Lindsay and Meris to the plan. And it's a good thing we had a plan, here is a tiny portion of the early-bird crowd:

Tiny portion of the people who are all wanting one thing: to ride Toy Story Midway Mania without waiting in line for an hour and a half. The plan was of utmost importance. With army-like precision we each had our duty. As we stood by the rope, waiting for it to drop (and the stampede that would ensue) Lindsay noticed a colorful character in the background. It was Minnie Mouse coming to greet guests as they walked into the park. I quickly instructed her, "Do not be distracted by the colorful character!!" She had her Toy Story Midway Mania Duties! But then I heard a squeal, and saw this:

That squeal and face was brought on by Lindsay seeing this:

 And with one bear, the plan was shot. Notice the small child hoping to be first in line to meet Winnie the Pooh. Now notice Lindsay, walking behind that child:

Now, notice who is first in line to meet the bear:

(Not pictured, a crying kid that Lindsay pushed over on her way to get the first hug.)(Just kidding... maybe... I wasn't there, I was following the aforementioned PLAN.)

In the end, the bride got her wish:

(Little did she know this wouldn't be her only opportunity to spend some quality time with her favorite bear!)

So, after quite the deviation, Lindsay and Meris finally got back to the plan (which was to walk safely, but purposefully to the end of the Toy Story Midway Mania Standby Line):

Why does a ride have scoring points? If you have to ask, you haven't been... and really, it's not able to be explained. Just know that it's a ride that's a game and a game that's a ride. Mr. Potato Head explains it all in the line:
