Home Run Bradley

For the summer, I enrolled Bradley in baseball class.

That's normal for a 20 month old, right?

He actually loved it!

So much so that we're continuing for the fall!
SO much so that Chris and I took Bradley to Academy to get suited up for some backyard practice!
Because it's normal to buy your not-yet-two year old a batting helmet and a Louisville Slugger, right?

A New Vacuum

In a second installment of "this might not be my kid", here's Bradley doing something I detest:
Chris bought the Hill House a new vacuum (ah, marital bliss...) and Bradley was excited to try it out!
Now if I can just get him to fold the laundry, I'll be able to retire!

Last Day of School

After Bradley's last day of school, I took him out for a snack at Southwell's:
Yep, those are french fries again. Does it help that they are sweet potato fries?! #MomOfTheYear

Then we headed over to Whole Foods where Bradley is a "customer in training":
He looks sweet and innocent there, but there was a lot of attempted ramming with that cart!
Then we headed over to our local Nature Discovery Center for story time. And that's where Bradley discovered he likes...
Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes!? Before I took this photo, the docent took the snake out of the cage and walked it around so the kids could pet it. Bradley had no fear. In fact he following her around hoping for a second turn to touch the snake.

I'm concerned this might not be my kid...

A Date with Bradley

Back in May, when the weather wasn't CRAZY HOT like it is now in August, I took my son out on a date.

We started with a snack at Buffalo Grill:
Where Bradley enjoyed French Fries (Mom of the Year!) and pointing at the birds.

Then we visited one of our local parks to hit up the swings:
I have about 20 photos of Bradley in this swing... and he's smiling ear-to-ear in each one!
Bradley and I are both ready for the weather to shift back so we can have more days like this!

Bradley's Favorites: Fish

Bradley loves fish. He loves to point them out in books and pictures... his favorite snack is goldfish!

So we decided to take him on a trip to the pet store to get him his first pet.

Before we got to the fish, though, we toured the other animals.
Gerbils...
Guinna Pigs...
Birds...
Lizards...

Bradley enjoyed them all.

But.

When we got to the fish section, he went crazy!
I couldn't get a good photo because he kept running to all the different tanks yelling, "fish! fish!"
And he loved the big goldfish tank:
So we got Bradley his first pet (actually, we got five of them) and I'm sad to say they are no longer with us. Neither are the other dozen or so replacements we've gotten. We're taking a break from Bradley as a pet owner, but he still loves to visit his fish at the store!

WDW with Cousin Lucy

In May, the Hills went back to Disney World!

For those keeping track, yes, Bradley went to Disney World three times before he turned two. He's a lucky kid!

This time, he brought his cousin, Lucy along with him!
That's them picking out wine for the week.

I'm learning that I might need to post two photos when there are two kids in the shot... so that each one gets a good one!
Yes... it's too much to ask them to both look at the camera and smile at the same time.

The first day we encountered some rain. Not to worry, Chris was Mr. Prepared!
(That was taken from shelter where the rest of us "unprepared" people waited out the storm.)

Rain, a cold bus and a skipped nap... Disney World can be hard on these kids!
The next day we braved the rain again and hit up the Magic Kingdom. Time for some classics!
Bradley on Dumbo. He loved it! Can't you tell??
Laura, Lucy and Justin... Lucy was much happier about the Dumbo experience.
Mesmerized by Mickey...
Mickey *talked* to us (really!) and Bradley wasn't too sure what to think about that!
Later we rode the train (if you believe the photos, this was Bradley's favorite!)...
The teacups...
(Where Justin and Chris got their own teacup... see the turquoise blur??)
And took a spin around Tomorrowland while the adults rode Space Mountain (I rode with the littles since Baby Hill #2 precluded me from being able to enjoy any of the thrill rides.)

And the kids? They did a lot of stroller riding, too!

One night, Laura and I wanted to watch the fireworks from the roof of our hotel (Bay Lake Towers), but the boys wanted to go get drinks at the Grand Floridian. This was way after the baby's bedtimes. What to do? Put the baby's down to sleep in the stroller and take them with us!
Two babies on a rooftop lounge at 10pm? Moms of the Year!! And, for the record, Bradley slept through all of it... Lucy stirred, but went back to sleep with little effort. Win!

We had a great time and can't wait to go back with even more of the family!!

For Sale

Anyone need a double stroller?
I bought this Phil and Ted's double stroller from a nice family on the West U Trading FB group. I was super excited to use it!

Then, Chris came home with another double stroller! I'm tempted to keep both, but 6 strollers in our tiny house just seems a little excessive. ;)

I bought it for $175, I'll sell for $150 (even though I've never used it). It's in good used condition, the family who had it before me LOVED it... and I'm sure I would have too!
Send me an email; this mama is nesting and needs some more space in her tiny house!
