Breaking Bread

I've written a few posts about my culinary disasters... how about a success?

When I read this post on one of my favorite blogs, I knew I had to try out home-made braided bread. How impressive would that be??

She made it look so easy, but I was still apprehensive. Martha Stewart makes things look easy too. And we all know what a liar she is.

I broke out the kitchen-aide and went to work. And what do you know? It looks great!

AND it tasted great too! That's not just my sweet husband's words... Lindsay and Kristen loved it as well!

(The one on top is full of cinnamon and brown sugar... yum!)

I paired the (non-cinnamon) bread with chili for dinner with Chris and with Tortilla soup for the girls' weekend. Doesn't it look impressive? And it's so easy, even a failed marshmallow cook can tackle it! But don't tell anyone how easy it is... let's keep that little secret between us.

  1. Your dad says, "Once again, Katie was right. I'm proud of her." And I say, me too! Johanna had the right name for you, "Kreative Katie."
